Computer Resource Center (CRC) During COVID-19
The Nyack Library is scheduling appointments for the use of the Computer Resource Center as staffing allows.
CRC Hours of Service (Computers; Copiers; Fax Services) as staffing allows
Monday-Thursday 11 am – 6:30 pm
Friday 11 am – 5:30 pm
Saturday 11 am – 2:30 pm
Sunday 12 pm – 3:30 pm
- We are only allowing 2 patrons into the CRC at one time for no more than 30 minutes of computer time.
- Will be limited to one appointment a day even if space is available.
- Will need to reserve an appointment in advance, but you can call and reserve for same day appointments.
- You can reserve space every day that we are open and staffed, but for no more than 30 minutes.
- Please do not bring anyone with you when you come for your appointment.
- Enter by the Parking Lot door, which is locked so please ring the bell to be let in.
- Please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth the entire time you are in the library.
- You must practice 6’ social distancing and good hand hygiene.
- You can only be on the lower level of the library and will not be allowed to visit any other floors of the library.
- You will be using a workstation that has protective coverings that must remain in place.
- Active library card (if you do not have an active library card, you can contact the Circulation Department in order to make arrangements for a library card)
- Coins and dollar bills to use self-service print/copy/fax services
- Credit card payments for $1 or more will be available through CRC service desk

Public Computers
The Computer Resource Center (CRC) offers both Windows and Mac operating systems, all featuring Microsoft Office. You must have an active library card to access all of the computing assistance available at the Library. Patrons are limited to three hours of computer time per day. The CRC is available during open hours until 10 minutes before the building closes.

Wireless Printing
Wireless printing is available at the CRC. To print, patrons must connect to the printer's wireless network (DIRECT-2b-HP CRC), enter the password nyarkcrc and choose the printer called CRCPRINT. Printouts are black & white and 15 cents a page.
Scan/Copy
The library's scanner can be used free of charge to scan documents and images to any email address. The scanner/copier is located in the CRC on the ground floor of the library.
Faxing
Faxing is available at the CRC desk and can be paid for once the fax has gone through. FAX #: (845) 358-6429

Exam Proctoring - not available at this time
The Nyack Library will serve as proctors for exams taken by distance learners who live within the Nyack School District. It is a free service we offer to the community. Exams should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance, during normal library hours. Students will need to provide identification. No direct supervision will be provided during the exam.
Students should contact Kat Sullivan to schedule exam proctoring.
